she is finally here!

Well it has been way to long since i updated this but i have been a little preoccupied with our new little one! So here is her story.....

Since karlee decided not to come on her own they decided to go ahead and induce me at 5am on the 7th! So we went in all excited. Got our room...got hooked up to the IV and got things started. I was 3 cm and 70% thinned out. Well after 8 hours of meds.....NOTHING and i mean NOTHING...no change at all after 8 hours of contractions. :( So i had a choice.....let them break my water but if she didnt come with in 24 hours i would be a c section, go ahead and get a c section then, or go home and wait a few more days. Well i decided i had waited this long what was a few more days....looking back i should have just taken the c section but oh well. So i decided to go go back home and I was still having contractions too :(. That day was a really hard day for darron and i both. We were so ready to meet our little one and we thought that day would be her birth day and to have to leave the hospital with no baby was extremely depressing. I really didnt want to talk to anyone or see anyone or really do anything. I came home and just layed in bed and tried to take a nap.

Well they had rescheduled my induction for May 11th at 7am. Well when i got up that morning i told darron "we are not leaving without a baby this time no matter what it takes!" and I ment it. So we got to the hospital again and guess what...they didnt have us on the schedule! ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I said it was fine and just sat down and told them to call the doctor cuz i wasnt leaving lol. After about 20 min they got everything they needed and appologized for the nurses mistake for not rescheduling me (i didnt like my nurse from the first induction anyway!)

So they took us to our room...i made sure it wasnt the same one as last time :) where we met tiffany! Let me just say that i LOVE tiffany! She would be our labor and delivery nurse and would later nickname karlee "the brat" lol. Well i got all hooked up again...tiffany was awesome. She got my IV on the first try unlike the other nurse last time! She started moving me in different positions and doing all kinds of thing to me to help me along. They came in and broke my water at about 10am. The contractions started picking up and started to get pretty painful. I was at 4cm and 100% thinned out so i decided to get my epidural at around 1pm. Well at 3pm i was at 5 cm and 100% thinned out. well they came to check me again at 4 and i was still at 5 and my cervex was starting to swell back up :( I also passed a large blood clot which turned out to be a piece of my placenta. I was so overdue that it was starting to fall apart! Well after another hour and a half i was still at 5cm and cervex was still swollen. We werent getting anywhere and I was done. The doctor came in and i told him that at some point you have to "shit or get off the pot" lol and he agreed so Karlee would be born via c section. They started to prep me and i actually wasnt nervous at all. I was just relieved for everything to be over!
So we were all ready for the OR! Darron was really excited about wearing the hair net...obviously i am just kidding! Well things went pretty quickly from there. They put me in the OR and increased my epidural. I was feeling good except i was kinda shaking due to the increased meds. Darron asked me if i was cold and i told him no i just couldnt control it. Then they gave me something for the shaking. I remember feeling my body rock back and fourth and the firxt thing the doctor said was "we have an ear!" and i just remember thinging...well do we have a baby to go with that ear lol! Then they said the head was out and let darron stand up and see. Then they said you are going to feel some pressure. Then the doctor said she had some big shoulders! Then at 7:51 PM Karlee Genevieve Legnon entered this world! and she was MAD! lol Screaming the whole time! They said that they need her mad and screaming to help get the fluid out of her lungs.

What a week...

Well i have been having contractions off and on for over a week now :( not fun at all. I am not sure if Kalree will make her grand appearance on her own or will need a little encouragement but there is no debating that i am done! Everyone is just sitting and waiting for her to make her grand entrance! My doctor is the on call all weekend (hint hint karlee) so now would be a great time for her to come!

I also think her bud would love to share a birthday with her! He says it would be one less day that he has to remember and as you grow karlee you will learn that Bud has a hard time remembering things already! The thing you have going for you is that you are the only girl so we hope that he can remember your name but more than likely he will call you Kenna alot (dont worry he calls me Kenna all the time too). Lets hope we get to see you soon!

36 weeks!

So i guess it is time for an update....Well as of today i am 36 weeks 1day and just for the record...I am done being pregnant lol. I am ready to meet our little miracle! I think what i am looking forward to most is just seeing her and being able to look into her eyes and holder her in my arms. I am so thankful to her for making me a mom! I know it is the biggest job/blessing that I will ever have! Well all of my showers are done and they were awesome I had a blast at both! We are so lucky to have such great friends who do so much for us and love Karlee so much! I did get a suprise at my 2nd shower....MY MOM!!! She flew down to suprise me which was awesome cuz i really needed he help with alot of stuff around the house! We have gotten so much done on Karlees room! It wont truly be finished until lol gets here when she is born cuz she has her curtains and a few other things too. We made our final run to the store to buy all the little things that we still needed. We bought wipes, tons of socks, more receiving blanket, and some other things we thought that we needed more of! We also got her travel system and ordered our changing table and are just waiting for it to come in! So here is my pic at 29 weeks 2 days! She is def growing in there! She weighs about 3lbs and is

about 15 inches long! We signed up for our child birth classes which should be interesting! They start on March 1st! We also got to enjoy a weekend with mom! We started lots of projects and finished a few which is pretty typical for us :). We completely changed the nursery theme tho. I was set on pink and green then I saw some Caden Lane bedding on sale that i really liked and it put a big wrench in my plan! Mom said we really should keep looking so karlee could have something one of a kind and boy was she right! We found the most amazing fabric to custom make all of Karlee's bedding! It is going to be amazing! But the pink and green is out. We are now looking at a chocolate brown with light pink and dark pink. She has all the stuff now to make it so i will post pics as they come! One that is made then I will finalize the wall colors and design. I have some ideas now but i am not completely sure how i am going to do it. We also got the matress too this weekend.

Amazing food!

I had the most amazing meal that i have ever eaten last! Darron took me out for our 5 year Anniversary to a place called The Lodge at Castle Hills......Darron calls it our "Top Chef experience". We ate there tasting menu which was sooooo good. I cant even tell you what it all was! I was so proud of darron because he is such a picky eater but he was a trooper and tried EVERYTHING that they brought him! Including Duck Confit, crab, an amuse bouche, and decontructed cheese cake! I had quail...which darron though was a bat when they first brought it out lol. I hope that it is a tradition that we continue. I wish i could have done the wine paring with dinner...oh well...maybe next time...

Update at 27 weeks a few days

So we went to the doctor yesterday to check on Karlee and my placenta previa. Well it has moved some! It is about 2 cm away from my cervex so he thinks that by the time delivery comes everything should be fine!!! YAY no scheduled C section! I also took my glucose test which wasnt fun at all but i still have to wait to see those results. We didnt get any updated photos of her..sorry. But a funny story when we walked in the doctor said lets take a look at her and make sure she hasnt sprouted any boy parts! LOL you should have seen darron's face! He told the doctor we already have too much pink so there is no turning back now. Well of coarse karlee is still a she lol so we are in the clear. I have been having a few to many braxton hicks then he would like so i am going to have to keep a close eye on them. We signed up for our childbirth classes that start March 1st! We are also taking a baby care class and I am signed up for a breastfeeding class too. As you can tell we want to be prepared so we can be the best parents to Karlee that we possibly can! Looking into a few books too...looking into the Baby whisperer and baby wise
